JOHNSON, VT - The women's tennis team claimed a 7-2 victory over Johnson State this afternoon and clinched the fourth and final playoff spot in the North Eastern Athletics Conference East Division playoffs.
Thomas (6-4, 3-3 NEAC) won five of the six singles matches and two out of three doubles matches to close out the Badgers (2-11, 1-5 NEAC).
Number one doubles team Jessica Bowen and Lindsey Allenn remained strong for the Terriers as they took care of Kali Covell and Annette Kaminski of Johnson 8-0. Number two doubles Dalia Williams and Olivia Mora also won over Nicole Monik and Michelle Mainus 8-1.
Allen, Williams, Mora and Amelia Guimond were all able to handle their singles matches to end the regular season on a positive note.
The Thomas women's tennis team will now look forward to the NEAC playoffs next Saturday, October 11 where they will faceoff against top-seeded Colby-Sawyer in match one of the NEAC East Semifinals being held at Colby College.
