Women's Cross Country Takes Second in Colby Invitational

WATERVILLE, ME - The Thomas women's cross country team placed three runners in the top 25, led by Amanda Cotter's third place finish to take second overall in the Colby Invitational on Saturday.

Cotter finished with a time of 21:09.62, followed by Crystal Peatfield (24:38.25), Alyssa Maggi (27:04.52), Nicole Ryder (27:44.37) and Samantha Felbaum (28:01.10).

Emma Wood of the Colby Nordic ski team was the overall winner of the race in 20:29.52 and teammate Amy Bianco took second with a 20:45.37. Courtney Dotterweich of Unity College took sixth in 22:02.10.

Thomas placed second with a team score of 54, behind on Colby who had a team score of 21 to win the event.

The women's cross country team will compete next in the Runnin' Monks Invitational on Saturday, October 11 at 11am.
