Thomas Records First Road Win of the Season, 91-73

HENNIKER, NH – Thomas College guard Stanley Greene finished with a game-high 22 points and seven assists leading the visiting Terriers past the New England College Pilgrims 91-73 in men's basketball action Friday evening.
 
With the win the Terriers are now 3-7 overall and improve to 3-2 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play.  The loss drops the Pilgrims to 5-7 on the season and 2-3 in the NAC.
 
New England College jumped out to the early 7-0 lead before the Thomas offense awoke using a 6-0 run to cut the lead to 9-8 four minutes onto the game.  The two teams continued to battle evenly through much of the opening half as the Terriers grabbed their first lead of the game half going up 25-23 with seven minutes left in the first half. The Pilgrims knotted the game at 30-30 before the Terriers scored the final four points of the half heading into the intermission up 34-30.
 
Thomas would come out of halftime with an impressive 11-0 run building a 46-31 lead just three minutes into the second half.  The Terriers led by as many as 19 points in the second half shooting an impressive 77% from the field.  NEC got as close 12 late but it would not be enough as Thomas eventually cruised to the 91-73 victory.
 
In addition to Greene, Thomas' Levi Barnes finished with 20 points on 9-for-15 shooting, while Marquis Pollard chipped in 18 points. Eric Westbrooks was the only other Terrier in double-figures finishing with 13.
 
Leading the way for NEC was Dezron Wilson who finished with a team-high 16 points.  NEC's Robin Wilson led all rebounders with seven and chipped in 10 points, while Terrance Thompson and Jonathan Byrnes each scored 13 points on the evening.
 
Thomas will hit the court again on tomorrow as they travel to take on NAC opponent Colby-Sawyer College.
