Terriers Place 19th at USM Invitational

GORHAM, ME- The Thomas women's cross country team competed in their fourth meet of the season at the Southern Maine Invitational, placing 19th. Crystal Peatfield came in first for the Terriers with a time of 21:35.

The invitational today is a preview for NCAA Regional Meet hosted by USM later in the season.

Jericca Stackpole came in second for the Terriers with a time of 26:22. Three spots behind Stackpole was Nicole Ryder with a time of 26:29. Samantha Felbaum (28:35) and Jasmine Turner (31:56) filled out the rest of the top five for the Terriers 

The Terriers finished with an overall score of 567. Today marked the biggest meet of the year so far for the team with 243 runners finishing the race.

Hannah Zydanowicz of Roger Williams finished first with a time of 18:10. Even with Zydanowicz top finish , MIT took home the team competition with a score of 52.

The team will be idle next weekend, and will be back in action on October 5th competing at Colby College in Waterville.
