WATERVILLE, ME- Katie McAllister's (Pittston, Maine) career-high 21 points helped propel Thomas (6-14) past Fisher College (1-22) 85-53, in a non-conference women's basketball matchup Tuesday night at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium.
The Terriers kicked off the scoring with two points from the charity stripe by senior Jasmine Bishop (Waterville, Maine) in the first minute of the game. Thomas never relinquished the lead in the opening stanza, going up by as many as 13 on two occasions.
In the first half, McAllister led the contest with 14 points, going 6-11 from the floor, while Megan Pelletier (Winslow, Maine) chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds, kicking off the opening half with a double-double. For the away side, Javanna Bernard (Waterbury, Conn.) had a team leading 12 points, going 2-4 from beyond the arc.
The second half would be much of the same, as the Terriers would continue to add to their lead. Pelletier would finish with a team high 24 points and 16 rebounds, shooting 10-16 from the field. Overall, Thomas shot 54% (34-63) from the court, and its bench outshot Fisher's 24-0.
Bernard had a game high 25 points for the Falcons, while Porsha Grayson (Merced, Calif.) had 21 points to go along with a team leading nine boards.
The Terriers will return to the hardwood on Friday, Feb. 8 as they host Johnson State at 7:30pm. Earlier this season, Thomas defeated the Badgers 67-66 in Vermont with a buzzer beater by Emilee Reynolds (Newport, Maine).
