Terriers Sink MMA, 82-64

CASTINE, ME- Thomas led wire-to-wire in an 82-64 win over Maine Maritime in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball game Tuesday. The Terriers improved to 13-10 overall (9-8 NAC) while the Mariners fall to 4-17 (3-12 NAC).

Thomas started the game with an 11-2 advantage on Jarrad DeVaughn's layup at 15:42. The Mariners pulled within five when Chiasson made a jumper with 14:43 remaining in the opening half. The Terriers took their largest lead, 34-17, on an Eric Westbrooks free throw and led 38-25 at the half.

Levi Barnes (Skowhegan, Maine) paced Thomas with 15 points, while Garen Manzo (East Millinocket, Maine) chipped in with 12, and Stanley Greene Jr. (Dorchester, Mass.) had 11 points. .

Tyler Chiasson led Maine Maritime with a game-high 19 points while Nick Holt and Caleb added 10 and Ben Russell and Logan Poirier contributed with nine each.

Thomas will finish out their regular season on Saturday as they travel to conference rival University of Maine at Farmington for a 1pm tipoff. The Terriers fell to UMF earlier in the season in Waterville 94-72.
