Box Score CASTINE, ME- Maine Maritime defeated Thomas in a North Atlantic Conference women's basketball game Tuesday. The Mariners improved to 11-11 (8-7 NAC) while the Terriers fell to 7-16 (5-12 NAC).
The Mariners broke a 9-9 deadlock early in the first half with an 18-4 scoring run. Campbell scored seven in the run, Courtney DuFour six, Badeen three and Jackson two to put MMA ahead 27-13 with 3:56 left in the opening half. A pair of Campbell free throws with 39 seconds left gave the Mariners their largest lead, 40-17, with 39 seconds.
Megan Pelletier (Winslow, Maine) scored a team-high 13 points and Katie McAllister (Pittston, Maine) added 10 for the visiting side.
Bekah Campbell scored 22 points, and grabbed 13 rebounds and Mary Badeen netted 12 with 10 boards for the Mariners in the win.
The Terriers will return to the hardwood for their final regular season contest of the season on Saturday as they travel to UMF. Tipoff scheduled for 3pm.
