Box Score WATERVILLE, ME – Colby College was able to take the Battle of Waterville, getting a 55-21 non-conference win over cross town foe Thomas College on Friday night at Wadsworth Gymnasium.
The Mules improve to 3-1 overall heading into Saturday's 2 p.m. game at Roger Williams. Thomas dropped to 0-4 overall and will play host to University of Maine at Presque Isle on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Carylanne Wolfington had 16 of her 23 points in the second half and nailed five 3-point shots to go along with 9-for-16 shooting from the field to lead the Mules to the win.
Elizabeth Goodall and Katie McAllister both had five points for Thomas. Emilee Reynolds had a game-high 11 rebounds.
The Mules darted out to a 12-2 lead after just 3:30 of action and extended the margin to 22-7 with 9:11 to play. Colby had a 26-13 halftime margin.
Colby kept Thomas without a point for the opening 8:36 of play in the second half in taking a 38-13 margin. The Terriers scored their first goal in the second half with 7:04 to play.
