Thomas Outshot by Hornets Despite Late Rally, 64-56

LYNDON, VT- Thomas fell to Lyndon State 64-56 in a North Atlantic Conference women's basketball matchup Friday night at Stannard Gymnasium.

The Hornets (4-5, 2-2) held a double-digit lead in the second half only to see the Terriers (2-6, 1-4) battle back to ties the score at 55-55 with 2:49 left to play.

Megan Pelletier (Winslow, Maine) collected 14 points, 18 rebounds, two blocked shots and five steals in the loss and Elizabeth Goodall (Oakfield, Maine) had 18 points, including 15 from beyond the three-point arc. Emilee Reynolds (Newport, Maine) 10 points for the Terriers and Ashleigh Gagne (Waterville, Maine) grabbed 10 rebounds.
Donna Lawson had 26 points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shots and two assists for the homesquad. Chelsea Bagly had 12 points and two steals in the victory and Chelsea Watson dished out a game-high six assists.
Thomas will return to the hardwood tomorrow at 1pm to finish their Vermont swing as they take on conference foe Johnson State.
