Box Score BRUNSWICK, ME- Bowdoin College defeated Thomas in a non-conference men's basketball contest on Tuesday evening at Morrell Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears improve to 12-6, while the Terriers see their two-game win streak come to an end and fall to 8-9 this season.
Andrew Madlinger scored a game-high 23 points for the Polar Bears, including five three-pointers, while Matt Mathias pitched in 17 while also connecting on five three-pointers.
Thomas was led by nine points off the bench from Adam Carlsen (Rockport, Maine), who went 3-9 from downtown. Franklin Salvador (Somerville, Mass.) chipped in with eight, 11 short of reaching the 1,000 career point.
After an early three-pointer from Stanley Greene Jr. (Dorchester, Mass.) to kick off the game, Bowdoin went on a 16-0 run and never gave up the lead again.
Bowdoin held a 50-26 edge in rebounding for the game, outshooting Thomas 57.8%-24.2%.
The Terriers will travel to play at New England College for a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) showdown on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
