Box Score

PRESQUE ISLE, ME- Thomas (3-8) fell to University of Maine-Fort Kent (8-8) 71-67, in a non-conference women's basketball contest Saturday night during the first day of the Star City Classic hosted by University of Maine-Presque Isle.

Thomas looked to be in control early, as they started the game on an 11-0 run, which would be their biggest lead. Fort-Kent would chip away at the Terrier lead, but the Terriers would end the opening stanza with a ten point lead (35-25).

Elizabeth Goodall () led the Terrier attack with a game high 11 points in the first half shooting 4-5 from the field and 3-4 from beyond the arc, all of this while coming off the bench and playing only seven minutes.

The second half would be a different story however, as the Bengals would tie the game at the 14:35 mark at 36 all. A jump shot by Taylor Boucher seconds later would give UMFK the lead and Thomas would not regain it throughout the game, despite tying it during multiple occasions during the later stages of the closing half.

Goodall, along with freshman Megan Pelletier (Winslow, Maine) would score a game high 17 points in the loss for the Terriers. Goodall shot 4-7 from downtown, raising her 3pt percentage to 41.5 for the season. For Pelletier, she currently has scored in the double figures in each game thus far in her rookie campaign.

In the loss, Thomas shot 47.9% (23-48) from the floor and 53.8% (7-13) from the perimeter. UMFK shot 31.6% (18-57) from the field and 26.7% (4-15) from downtown. The Bengals held a slim advantage in rebounds 37-35.

Thomas will return to action tomorrow in the Star City Classic as they face off against host University of Maine-Presque Isle at 2pm.
