Box Score WATERVILLE, ME- Dakota Duplissie (Hampden, Maine) and Marcus Johnson (Sandy's, Bermuda) both scored two goals as the Terriers (6-1-2, 2-0-1 NAC) defeated Colby-Sawyer (3-6-1, 2-1 NAC) in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's soccer match Sunday afternoon.
In the seventh minute mark, Johnson received a pass from Joshua Phelps (Maroochydor, Australia) to start off the games scoring affair. The Chargers would answer back however at 15:56 as Chris DiCecce would get one past Terrier keeper Mikkail Crockwell (St. David's, Bermuda) in front of the net.
Duplissie would score the eventual game-winner at 26:07 to give Thomas a one goal lead going into half. Dupllisie would strike again to start off the second half with a strike from outside the box beating the opposing keeper top right.
Johnson would add a cushion to the Terrier lead scoring his second of the contest at the 79th minute, assisted by Phelps and Duplissie.
The Terrier held a 17-9 advantage in shots, while both teams had three corner kicks apiece.
With the win, the Terriers sit atop the NAC standings, closely followed by New England College with a 2-0-1 conference record.
The Terriers will host crosstown rival Colby Wednesday, Oct. 3 under the lights at 7pm. Last fall Thomas fell 1-0 to the Mules at Colby.
