Box Score WATERVILLE, ME- Thomas (2-7. 1-3 NAC) was defeated by Husson (6-5, 4-0 NAC) 3-2 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey contest Saturday afternoon. Brittany Premo (Concord, N.H.) scored both goals for the Terriers in the loss.
Thomas got on the board first with an unassisted goal at the 25:28 mark by Premo. With just one second left in the first half, Husson got on the scoreboard by an own goal for Thomas to bring the game to a 1-1 stand still at halftime.
The Eagles would get two unanswered tallies at the beginning of the second half with goals from Sabrina Vaillancourt and Kayla Grindle at 42:37 and 47:41 respectively. The Terriers would battle back and cut the deficit to one in the 50th minute as Premo would pick up her second score of the game with an assist from Lauren Hachey (Oakland, Maine).
Jasmine Bishop (Waterville, Maine) registered 14 saves for the Terriers in the defeat.
The Eagles outshot Thomas 24-13 and held a 13-6 advantage in penalty corners.
The Terriers will return to action tomorrow on the road against Anna Maria College at 3pm.
