Box Score Bangor, Maine – The Thomas College men's basketball team season came to a close Tuesday evening on the road as they dropped an 88-56 loss to rival Husson in the North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals. Senior Antonio Juco led the Terriers with a 12 point performance in his final game in a Thomas uniform.
With loss the Terriers close out the 2011-2012 season with a record of 14-11 (11-7 NAC), while Husson improves to 15-11 (13-5 NAC) and moves on to face Castleton State in the NAC Semifinals.
The Terriers jumped out to and early 5-0 lead, but the Eagles scored the next 14 points to take control of the lead. After Stanley Greene Jr. hit a pair of free-throws for the Terriers with 7:38 left in the first, Husson went on a 26-3 run to close out the first half leading 45-17 at the half.
Husson went on to lead by as many as 34 in the second half, quelling every attempt at a comeback by the Terriers. Thomas was able to bring the game to within 20 points a few times down the stretch, but the Eagles were able to close out the game for the 88-56 win.
