Box Score Castleton, Vt. – The Thomas College women's basketball season came to a close Tuesday night in the North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals as they fell 78-41, to the Spartans of Castleton State. Sophomore Lindsay Fry scored a game high eight points for the Terriers in the loss.
With the loss the Terriers end their season with a record of 5-20 (5-13 NAC), while the Spartans improve to 20-5 (16-2 NAC) and move on to face Maine Maritime in the NAC Semifinals.
Elizabeth Goodall and Jasmine Bishop each turned in six-point, five-rebound performances for the Terriers in the loss.
The Spartans jumped out to an early lead and with 11:31 left in the first held a commanding 20-4 lead over the Terriers. The Spartans continued to stretch their lead and held a 44-17 lead at the break.
In the second half the Spartans offense continued roll past the Terriers on their way to victory. Castleton converted 30 Thomas turnovers into 32 points, and posted 20 assists on 27 field goals to just 11 turnovers on their own end.
