Box Score Lyndonville, Vt. – The Thomas College men's basketball team picked up an 89-73 win to finish off their two road trip and complete the regular season sweep of North Atlantic Conference rival Lyndon College. Thomas sophomore Martin Cleveland picked up a 19 point, 10 rebound double-double in the win.
The Terriers jumped out to an early lead, but with 5:50 remaining in the first Lyndon's Ben Sackett drilled a three to put the Hornets up 31-29. Sackett's three started a 9-5 run that gave the Hornets a 40-35 lead at the break.
Early out of the break jumpers by Cleveland and senior Rob Nutter brought the Terriers within one of the home standing Hornets. Salvador sunk a three pointer to add to the eventual 17-4 run that gave the Terriers a 52-44 lead with 15:11 left in the second, from there the Terriers coasted to victory.
Salvador finished up with the game high 20 points and five assists, while Stanley Greene Jr. hit 15 points, dished out four assists, and two steals. Freshman Taurean Easter hit 16 points and just came short of a double-double with nine rebounds.
The Terriers take the Mariners from Maine Maritime Academy in their final home game of the season on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
