The Spartans scored 1:29 into the contest. Senior Kelsey Garceau (St. Albans, Vt.) received a pass from Jessica Phillips (Drewsville, N.H.) just inside the 18 and ripped a shot into the far corner of the net for her fourth goal of the season.

In the 14th minute, sophomore Jenna Bostwick (Pembroke, Mass.) pushed the Castleton lead to 2-0 on a penalty kick after a foul in the box against Mallory Costello (Vernon, N.J.).

In the first ten minutes of the second half, Ethier and freshman Emily Osmer (Wallingford, Vt.) connected for a pair of goals to push the advantage to 5-0. In the 53rd minute, Osmer found Ethier inside the box and she ripped one home. Ethier concluded the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 75th minute.
