Women's Soccer Defeated by MMA in NAC Quarterfinals

Castine, ME - Women's Soccer was defeated by the #3 Maine Maritime Academy Mariners in the North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025. The final score was 0-3.

How it Happened:
  • The Mariners started the game on a roll, forcing Terrier goalkeeper Emily Rock to make two saves and forcing a team save in the first 25 minutes.
  • In the 30th minute the Mariners took the lead, and doubled their lead five minutes later to make it 0-2.
  • The Terrier defense played well for the remainder of the first half, not allowing a single Mariner shot.
  • Heading into the second half it was much of the same, with the Mariners forcing a few saves from Rock early on.
  • The Terrier defense held strong though, not allowing any conceded goals.
  • With six minutes to go the Mariners made it 0-3, putting the Terriers in a tough situation.
  • In the 89th minute the Terriers had one of their only chances of the game, with Izzy Byram forcing a save from the Mariner goalkeeper.
  • Despite the loss, Women's Soccer has worked hard to improve this season, and earned their first playoff appearance since 2019.
