WATERVILLE, ME- Miranda Tinsman (Belgrade, Maine) scored with six minutes remaining to give the Terriers (4-7, 2-3 NAC) a 2-1 victory over University of Maine at Farmington (3-5, 3-1 NAC) in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) field hockey matchup Wednesday evening.

The game was held scoreless in the first half in a back and forth battle until Brittany Premo (Concord, Maine) broke the scoreless tie at the 38:22 mark in the second half on a pass from Tinsman. The Beavers would tie it at 54:51 on an own goal from Thomas.

Sofia Sourgiadakis (Littleton, N.H.) had a game high seven saves in the victory.

Despite suffering the loss, Farmington held an 11-6 shot advantage and 10-5 in penalty corners.

The Terriers will return to action Saturday as they play host to Saint Joseph's College at 1pm.
