Weston, Mass. – The Thomas College women's soccer team dropped their second game in a row this morning, falling to Regis (Mass.) 2-0.  With the loss the Terriers drop to 0-2 in the young season, while Regis picks up their first win of the season.

Both teams played to a 0-0 draw through the first 43 minutes of action until Adena Joseph helped the Pride finally breakthrough in the 43rd minute. Joseph took a shot on Thomas' Kate Thibodeau that the keeper turned away but could not corral, allowing Joseph to grab her own rebound and loft one to the upper left corner that found the back of the net and gave Regis the early 1-0 advantage. Several minutes later, the Pride would have their second good scoring chance of the morning when the Terriers were called for a handball in the box, setting up a Michelle Sirois penalty kick. Thibodeau was up to the task however as she made the sprawling save to preserve the Terriers' 1-0 deficit.

Thibodeau made five stops in the opening frame while facing 12 shots from the Pride. The Terriers took three shots in the period but none of them found their mark. Regis also held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pride continued their strong attack in the second half as they got off five shots in the opening seven minutes of the period. At the 38 minute make, Joseph netted her second goal of the game, putting the Pride up 2-0.

For the game, Regis registered 21 shots to Thomas' eight. The Pride also held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. Michaela Yebba picked up her first win of the season while making three saves in the shutout while Thibodeau drops to 0-2 on the year despite making six saves in the setback.

The Terriers will look to notch their first victory of the year on Thursday September 8th when they play host to St. Joseph's (Me.), kick off is slated for 4:00 p.m.
