Clippers Sink Woman's Soccer 3-1

Waterville, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team fell 3 -1 this afternoon, to the visiting Clippers  of Maine Machias  in a non-conference match up. The Clippers took a 2-0 halftime lead off the play of Erin O'Connor who scored two goals and added an assist.  First year Mary Grace Morris scored the Terriers lone goal of the day in the later parts of the second half. With the loss the Terriers fall to 0-4 on the year; while the Clippers improve to 2-1.

Emma Legallais got the Clippers going at the 27:24 mark when she finished an O'Connor cross putting the Clippers up 1-0. From there the Clippers didn't look back as they put one more goal in right before halftime. O'Connor kept the momentum rolling in the second half when she connected a Jenny Guzman pass putting the Clippers 3-0.

Morris' first collegiate  goal ended the scoring run at the 82:23 mark, when she finished an Arian Kumlangngam pass.

Kate Thibodeau stood strong in the cage for the Terriers making six saves against nine Clipper's shots on goal.

Thomas will host the University of New England in a non-conference match up at Alumni Field on September 12, at 4 pm.
