Box Score Biddeford, Maine – Freshman Khamisi Lightbourne registered a goal and an assist as the Thomas College men's soccer team (1-0, 0-0 NAC) earned a 2-0 road victory over the University of New England (0-1) in non-conference men's soccer action Thursday evening at Barbara J. Hazard Field.
Lightbourne set-up the Terriers' initial score just over 12 minutes into the contest, feeding it to classmate Blake Boswell who stepped into a low drive from 30 yards away that slipped inside the left post.
Moments later, Lightbourne got into the scoring column, heading in a cross from the right side off the foot of fellow freshman Mattias Schyberg.
Thomas finished with a 12-10 edge in shots after a scoreless second half. Sophomore goalie Mikkail Crockwell posted four saves to preserve the shutout.
For UNE, senior keeper Jon Planer stopped three shots.
The Terriers are off until Sunday September 4th, when they travel to face Salem State University kick off will take place at 2 p.m.
