Box Score Waterville, Maine - The Terriers (7-12, 5-6 NAC) captured their second straight win in a 76-42 victory over Johnson St. (4-18, 0-11 NAC). The win keeps Thomas' playoff hopes alive with only a week of conference action left.
In the first half, the Terriers jumped out to an early 18-3 lead thanks, in part, to solid defense. Thomas was able to cause 15 turnovers against Johnson St. Karin Bird and Mallorie Blakney led the Terriers with 10 points in the first half. The Badgers were led by Lauren Lepage with seven. At the half the Terriers were ahead 35-25.
Thomas was able to carry their momentum into the latter part of the game causing more turnovers. The Terriers starters all scored in double figures with Blakney leading the way with 24 points. Johnson St. would be led by Kristine Tatro's 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Terriers will next play tomorrow, February 12th at 4 p.m. when they host Lyndon St. (10-10, 6-5 NAC).
