Chargers Roll by Thomas 97-66

New London, N.H. – The Thomas College men's basketball team fell 97-66 in their first ever meeting with new North Atlantic Conference member Colby-Sawyer.

With the loss the Terriers fall to 4-4 and 1-2 in the NAC. The home standing Chargers improve to 5-4 and 3-0 in the NAC.

Sophomore Franklin Salvador reached double figures with 19 points on 7-15 shooting in the loss. Freshman Taurean Easter had a solid effort off the bench with six points and six rebounds in just nine minutes. Sophomore Martin Cleveland led the team with eight boards.

The Terriers held an early six point advantage, but with 11:54 remaining in the first half the Chargers were able to grasp the lead and never let go. The Chargers led Thomas by as many as 15 points in the half and led the Terriers 51-37 at the break.

The host team widened the gap in the second half as the held the Terriers to 23.5 percent from the field.

The Terriers will finish up their road trip tomorrow against NAC newcomer New England College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
