Terriers Fall to BSU in Season Opener

Bridgewater, Mass.-The Thomas College women's basketball team fell 105-60 to the Bears of Bridgewater State University in the first round of the P&H Travel Tip-off Tournament.  The Terriers were led by senior Karin Bird who scored a game-high 25 points. 

With the loss the Terriers drop to 0-1 while the Bears improve to 1-0.

Junior Jasmine Bishop corralled a game-best 12 rebounds and first-year Callie Theodore chipped in with seven points and six boards for the Terriers.

BSU senior Ciara Shaughnessy netted 14 as sophomore Jenna Williamson added 13 points, five rebounds and five helpers. Freshman Alana Watkins notched 12 points and seven caroms while junior Michaela Crosby and senior Shelly DePina finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Terriers play against the Pride of Springfield College at 1 p.m. in the Consolation game of the P&H Travel Tip-off Tournament.
