Waterville, Maine – Husson University (14-4, 7-0 NAC) came to Thomas (8-9, 4-4 NAC) this evening to keep their conference record perfect. With both teams playing hard throughout the game, the Eagles would hold off a strong Thomas run in the second half to win, 94-87.

The first half saw Husson take the lead into the locker room behind 11 points from Jay Uhrin and 10 from Daeshawn McMorrin. The Terriers had a hard time making baskets only shooting 2-11 on three-point shots.

In the second half, both teams put on a great showcase for a packed house at Larry Mahaney Gymnasium. Thomas made a late half run to get within five points with only minutes remaining. But the offense for the Eagles was too overpowering for Thomas to get any closer. Josh Jones finished with a team high 28 points and 12 rebounds for Husson who had five players finish in double figures.

Fresh off Andrew Duncanson's NAC Co-Player of the Week Honors, the senior dropped a game high 29 points and recorded five steals and five assists. Jarrad DeVaughn had a solid game as well scoring 17 points and grabbing six rebounds.

Franklin Salvador came off the bench for Thomas to score 12 points, all three point baskets (4-7 3PT).

The Terriers will take a break from conference play to face Bowdoin (12-5) tomorrow, February 1st, at 7 p.m. in Brunswick, Maine.
