Brittany Moore (North Berwick, Maine) notched a hat trick and Amy Miles (Waldo, Maine) added a goal and assist pacing Thomas College past host Daniel Webster College, 6-0 in regional field hockey action Thursday at Harvey Woods Field.

Ali Kriegel (Winslow, Maine) and Kristin Masessa (Montville, Maine) added single goals each as the Terriers (3-7) halted a two-game skid.

The loss snapped a two-game win streak for the first-year Eagles (5-4), who saw a remarkable performance by freshman goalie Amy Prince (Hope Valley, R.I.). Prince finished with a season high 20 saves in the effort including 12 in the second half. Megan Denby (Copiague, N.Y.) made one save for the Terriers.

Thomas controlled throughout most of the contest, finishing with a 34-2 total shots advantage and broke open a 2-0 game at the half with four second half scores. Kriegel put the visitors ahead off a Kellie Martel (Cambridge, Maine) setup 10:42 into the game, and Moore upped it to 2-0 off a Miles feed six minutes later. Miles made it 3-0 five minutes into the second and Moore made it 4-0 with 18:00 minutes remaining with Masessa following 51 seconds later. Moore closed out the scoring with her third with 15:32 to go. Thomas will play their next game on Saturday, October 11th when they host conference rival Husson University (Bangor, ME) at Thomas College.
