WATERVILLE, ME -- The Thomas College Terriers and the University of Maine at Farmington Beavers squared off in a North Atlantic Conference field hockey match on Wednesday afternoon. The two rivals played on Alumni Field in Waterville, ME at Thomas College, where the Terriers were defeated by the Beavers 2-1 in their final regular season home game of the season.

The first goal of the contest came at the end of the first half. With 6:35 left to play in the period, Farmington's Emma Deans gave the Beavers a 1-0 lead when she beat Thomas goalkeeper Megan Denby. Farmington took a 1-0 lead into the half. In the second half, Thomas was able to knot the score at one goal apiece. In her final home game of her collegiate field hockey career, senior captain Amy Miles received a pass from Kellie Martel and was able to score the equalizing goal. The game remained tied until Farmington's Alyssa St. Pierre scored the game winner in the first overtime.

Thomas goalkeeper Megan Denby recorded 9 saves in the losing effort while Farmington keeper added Kaeleigh Barker added 1 save for the Beavers. The Terriers finish their regular season with an overall record of 3-12.
