Emily Cummins enters her eighth season as the Head Coach for the Terriers in the 2021-2022 season.
Two seasons ago, Cummins led the Terriers to the most wins in over a decade and hosted the first round of the conference tournament for the first time in program history.
Emily graduated with a degree in Sport Management from Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio where she played four years of collegiate basketball. During her playing career at Wilmington, Cummins set the record for most 3-pointers made in a game and is fourth in school history in both season and career 3-pointers made.
She tallied two OAC league championships, three OAC tournament championships, led her team to the Elite 8 of the 2002 NCAA DIII Tournament and to the Sweet 16 of the 2003 NCAA DIII Tournament. Cummins was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the NCAA DIII Sectional Tournament and was a key member on her NCAA DIII National Championship team in 2004.
After her collegiate playing career, Cummins attended Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio, from 2004-2007 and received her Master’s in Business Administration. While at Otterbein, she was also an assistant women’s basketball coach under long-time head coach Connie Richardson.
After her stint at Otterbein College, she served as an assistant women’s basketball coach at LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia, from 2007-2010. Before coming to Thomas College, Cummins took the reins for three seasons at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas as the head women's basketball coach.
