Mehan was hired as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for the 2024/25 season, and promoted to Head NCBBA Women's Basketball Coach / Assistant NCAA Women's Basketball Coach in May of 2025. She now enters her second year at Thomas.
Mehan has coaching experience at several different levels of basketball, including High School, AAU, and several different levels of Collegiate basketball. Mehan got her start in NCAA Division I athletics, serving as a Student Manager for the University of Kansas’s Women’s Basketball team in the 2016-17 season. From there Mehan went on to graduate from Kansas in 2019 and became a Graduate Assistant for the Women’s Basketball program at Goucher College from 2022-24. Last season she served as an Assistant Coach for our Women’s Basketball program and had several key responsibilities such as creating scouting reports, implementing practice plans into workouts for the team’s post players, building schedules, and other day-to-day responsibilities.
Mehan is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, and received her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Kansas in 2019. She went on to receive her Master’s degree in Athletic Program Leadership & Administration from Goucher College in 2024.
