Ryan Kappelmann was named Assistant Ice Hockey Coach August 1st, 2023 after graduating and playing his final season as a Terrier during the 2022-23 season. Although this will be his first year behind the bench at Thomas, Ryan has spent a significant amount of his spare time coaching at various levels, to include 18U AAA, and various junior hockey showcase tournaments. As a member of the Terriers, he showed a natural ability to recruit.
Ryan had an excellent playing career and will certainly be remembered as one of the top players to ever come through the program. He displayed the character and commitment necessary to be successful and he will bring that to his next role with the team.
Ryan also works in admissions and provides great insight for potential recruits. His parents Barbara and Rick have been significant supporters of Thomas College Hockey.
