Joey Waraskevich Headshot

Joey Waraskevich

Joe Waraskevich was appointed Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach on August 1, 2022, and enters his fourth season in the role.

Prior to his appointment, Waraskevich served as an Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach from the 2014/15 season until the 2020/21 season. After a one year hiatus from Thomas, he returned for what was his 8th season leading the Terriers to a 10-7-3 record in the 2022/23 season, qualifying for the NECHA Playoffs.

Coach Waraskevich played an instrumental role as Head of Recruiting during his first tenure at Thomas and recruited the group that won the schools first NECHA Conference Championship in the 2019-2020 season. The first recruiting class with Waraskevich as head coach is very strong and with that there is a clear focus on getting back to the top of the NECHA Conference and competing at the National Tournament.

Waraskevich resides in Oakland, Maine with his family and he is quick to point out that their support is essential to his success.
