Athletic Event Operations Staff


Responsibilities:

Based on Experience and training could include:  

  • Providing excellent customer service at events  

  • Setting up the facility for competition 

  • Operation of technology like the scoreboard, video cameras, statistics tracking, and music system 

  • Administration of outdoor/indoor sport sidelines 

  • Ticket sales 

  • Official capacities at the scorer's table 

  • Action photography 

  • Pre-game and in game announcements 

  • Other duties at events and within the Athletics Department may be assigned. 

  • Providing excellent customer service to all visitors at Thomas College athletic events   

  • Wear their uniform for EVERY shift assigned – this includes the provided Staff Shirt and clothing appropriate for assigned position. No open-toed shoes or boots. 

  • Work closely with other Student Employees and Professional Staff members to ensure smooth function of Thomas College Athletic Events. 

  • Work with their Staff Supervisors and Lead Supervisor on assigned projects within the facility when necessary – bulletin boards, social media, posters, special events etc. 

  • Required to communicate effectively and in a timely manner with their supervisor(s) on schedule conflicts.  
     

Qualifications:

  • Open to flexible hours and working afternoons, nights and weekends 

  • Ability to read and follow directions 

  • High level of professionalism & accountability at all times. 

  • Efficient, responsible, detail oriented, organized, quick study, and reliable. 

  • Discretion and confidentiality must be used at all times. 

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills 

  • Ability to confront. 

  • Team member 

  • Basic computer skills
