Waterville, ME - Women's Soccer battled to a 2-2 draw against the University of Maine Augusta Moose on Saturday, September 26th, as a part of the 2026 Homecoming and Family Weekend.

How it Happened:

• The Moose started off with two shots in the seventh minute, but both were blocked thanks to some strong defending from the Terriers.
• In the 12th minute shots from Alexandra Wallingford and Yaribel Pena both forced good saves from the Moose goalkeeper.
• Soon after a good pass from Miah Ramos-Politron found Ava Lyndes, who sent a rocket of a shot into the top right corner to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
• Both teams traded shots for the next few minutes, but shots on goal from Pena and Briley Rutledge saw two more good saves from the Moose.
• After the Moose hit the post on a shot in the 42nd minute both teams went into halftime tied 0-0.
• The Terriers dominated out of halftime, but were unable to find the back of the net.
• With just six minutes left to play the Moose scored, tying the game at 1-1.
• However, under a minute later a solo goal from Pena gave the Terriers hope for a win, making it 2-1.
• In the 86th minute an unstoppable deflection saw the Moose tie the game 2-2 due to an own goal.
• A last second shot from Pena sailed just high, securing the 2-2 draw against the Moose.

• Women's Soccer will be back in action on Tuesday, September 29th, when they travel to take on Husson University. Start time is scheduled for 3:30 PM.
