Babson Park, MA - Thomas College Women's Rugby move to 6-0 on the season after three more wins Sunday morning, September 20th. The Terriers defeated Bryant University, Babson College, and Brandeis University in the Babson College Tournament.


How it Happened:

Match One: 44-0 Win VS Bryant University

• Thomas opened their first game of the Babson College Tournament with a dominant win over Bryant University.
• First year, Aliyah Riffey scored an outstanding four tries giving the Terriers 20 points.
• Cassidy Hardy and Maeve Hickok also added to the 44 points by scoring two tries each for the Terriers.
• Hardy also had two conversions to go along with her two tries.

Match Two: 31-5 Win VS Babson College

• The Terriers continued their scoring and controlling defense, only allowing Babson into the Try-zone once.
• Hardy had three tries with three conversions resulting in 21 points to go to the Terriers.
• Hickok and Riffey added the remaining 10 points by scoring one try each.

Match Three: 22-0 Win VS Brandeis University

• To cap off the day, Thomas held their opponents to a scoreless match again making it the second of the day.
• Emma Mercadante and Hickok each scored one try for the Terriers.
• Hardy scored another two tries to end her scoring for the day, as well as one conversion.

What's Next:

• The Terriers return to the road, where they look to continue their undefeated streak as they compete in the University of Maine at Farmington Tournament on Saturday the 26th. The tournament is set to kick off at 9 a.m. at the University of Farmington. That same weekend, on September 27th, Thomas is hosting a homecoming tournament starting at 9 a.m. on Alumni Field.
