Women's Lacrosse Battles in Regular Season Finale on Senior Day

Waterville, ME - Women's Lacrosse hosted the Husson University Eagles on it's Senior Day in the Terriers final North Atlantic Conference match-up of the 2026 regular season on Saturday, April 25th. Despite battling to the very end, the Terriers ultimately fell to the Eagles by a final score of 2-10.

Records:
Thomas: Overall (4-8), NAC (0-6)
Husson: Overall (10-4), NAC (5-1)

How it Happened:
  • Husson claimed the momentum of the match in the opening minutes of the 1st, converting back-to-back goals to put the Terriers behind 0-2 with just over 9 minutes remaining in the quarter.
  • The Terriers looked to generate momentum midway through the 1st quarter, but strong defense from the Eagles prevented them from generating any attacking opportunities.
  • A late strike from the Eagles in the closing minutes of the 1st sent the Terriers into the 2nd quarter trailing 0-3.
  • Despite four strong saves from Terriers goalkeeper Bristol Sine throughout the 2nd quarter, four additional goals from the Eagles sent the Terriers into the half trailing 0-8.
  • Husson continued to apply pressure early in the 3rd, scoring a quick goal in the opening minutes of the quarter to extend the Terriers deficit to nine.
  • But the Terriers continued to battle, generating momentum in the closing minutes of the 3rd quarter with a nice run and finish on net from Sadie Dorr to make it a 1-9 game heading into the final fifteen minutes of play.
  • The Terriers continued to generate attacking opportunities early in the 4th with shots on net from Isabella Pelletier, Maria Protheroe, and Katarina Olvera, but saves from the Eagles goalkeeper kept the Terriers at bay.
  • A strong shot from Olvera late in the 4th found the back of the back of the net to cut the Terriers deficit to seven.
  • But despite the Terriers best efforts in the 4th, a late strike in the final minutes of the quarter from the Eagles ultimately put the game out of reach, as the Terriers went on to fall by a final score of 2-10.
