Newton, MA - Women's Lacrosse traveled to take on Lasell University in a non-conference contest on Thursday, March 5th, but were unable to overcome the Lasers, falling by a final score of 3-18.

How it Happened:
- The Lasers seized the momentum of the game early in the 1st quarter with a six-goal scoring run that put the Terriers down 0-6.
- Thomas responded late in the quarter when Sophia Clayton capitalized on a man-up opportunity, scoring off an Eve Schultz assist to make it 1–6 with under five minutes remaining
- But another late goal from the Lazers put the Terriers down 1-7 after fifteen minutes of play.
- The Terriers looked to generate some momentum with attacking opportunities early in the 2nd quarter, but strong defense from the Lazers kept the Thomas off the board.
- Karissa Cotoia connected with Isabella Pelletier for the Terriers 2nd goal of the game late in the 2nd quarter, but another scoring surge from the Lazers sent the Terriers into the half trailing 2-12.
- The Terriers continued to battle in the 3rd quarter, with first year Katarina Olvera finding the back of the net off Cotoia's second assist of the game to make it a 3-13 game.
- Pelletier would be granted a free-position attempt midway through the 3rd, but would be unable to capitalize.
- Despite the Terriers best efforts in the second half, another Lazers scoring run ultimately allowed them to control the remainder of the game to hand the Terriers a 3-18 loss in their regular season opener.
