Bridgton, ME -- The Thomas College NECBA Baseball Team ran into a strong Bridgton Academy squad on Friday afternoon, falling 8-0 at Bridgton Academy.

How It Happened:

• Bridgton Academy scored three runs in the first inning, highlighted by a two-run single
• Bridgton launched a two-run homer in the second inning to extend the lead to 5-0.
• The Terriers threatened in the fourth after Vaccaro's single and Blake's walk put two runners in scoring position.
• On the mound, Carl Gregoire struck out four batters over 2.2 innings, while Kaden DeValle settled things down in relief with three strikeouts and a scoreless fourth inning
• Bridgton extended their lead the with a two-run home run in the sixth inning.
• Thomas continued to show improvement later into the game showing good poise at the plate  ultimately losing 8-0.

What's Next:

• The Terriers return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 6, when the Team travel to Augusta, Maine for a seven-inning matchup against the University of Maine at Augusta Moose . First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. as Thomas looks to carry its momentum into another road test.
