Waterville, ME - Women's Rugby continued their winning streak to seven matches after picking up two wins against the University of New England Nor'easters during this year's Homecoming and Family Weekend on Sunday, September 28th, 2025. The final scores were 24-5 in match one, and 21-10 in match two.
How it Happened:
Match One - 24-5 Win
- The Nor'easters got on the scoreboard first after a try in the first minute made it 5-0.
- The Terriers responded with a try from Cassidy Hardy and a conversion from Brooke Taylor to make it 7-5.
- Just one minute later Hardy scored again, with Taylor converting to make it 14-5.
- Early in the second half Hardy was able to break free and Taylor converted once again after the try to make it 21-5.
- In a strong showing the Terriers eventually went on to win 24-5, starting off the day strong.
Match Two - 21-10 Win
- After a short break the Terriers faced off against the Nor'easters again.
- This time it was the Terriers who got on the board first, after a try from Anaya Ammon and conversion from Taylor made it 7-0.
- The Nor'easters struck back four minutes later but missed the conversion to make it 7-5.
- The Terriers would then score twice thanks to Kemari Cox and Hardy, with Taylor converting both kicks to make it 21-5.
- With two minutes left the Nor'easters scored a try of their own but weren't able to convert, making the final score 21-10.
