Worster Becomes All-Time Points Leader as Men’s Lacrosse Falls in NAC Semifinal

Castine, ME – Men's Lacrosse season has come to a close, as the #3 seed Terriers fell to the #2 seed SUNY Delhi Broncos by a final score of 6-19 in the North Atlantic Conference semifinals on Saturday, May 3rd. Despite the loss, senior Timothy Worster would surpass Colby Blondin (18') as the Terriers all-time points leader with a goal against the Broncos, finishing his career with 123 all-time points.

Records:

Thomas: Overall (4-11), NAC (3-2)

SUNY Delhi: Overall (11-4), NAC (4-1)

How it Happened:

  • The Broncos would jump out to an early lead in the opening minutes of the first quarter.

  • Worster would make program history minutes later, finding the back of the net off an Owen Lyons assist to cut the deficit to just one goal and would become the Terriers all-time points leader.

  • But the Broncos would reclaim the momentum of the match shortly after with an offensive surge, putting the Terriers down 1-5 heading into the second quarter.

  • The Broncos would continue to push the pace offensively in the second quarter with another scoring run.

  • Wyatt Lyons (assisted by O. Lyons) and Connor Hamilton each added goals for the Terriers in the second, but the Terriers would find themselves down 3-12 heading into halftime.

  • W. Lyons, O. Lyons and Dustyn Hinkley would try to generate some momentum in the second half with each finding the back of the net to cut into the Broncos lead.

  • However, SUNY Delhi would maintain control for the remainder of the match, ultimately ending the Terriers' postseason run with a 6-19 semifinal loss.

  • The Terriers would have two man-up opportunities against the Broncos but would be unable to capitalize on either of them.

  • Despite the loss, Hunter Vail and Ciaran Vizi were named to the 2025 NAC All-Tournament Team.
