Waterville, ME – Women's Lacrosse came up short against the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Buccaneers by a score of 8-13 on Saturday, March 1
st, 2025. This game served as the teams "Morgan's Message" game, to raise awareness for student-athlete mental health.

How it Happened:
- The Buccaneers struck first four minutes in, but Mary LaRochelle found Emily Wallingford minutes later to make it 1-1.
- Despite two more goals from the Buccaneers, the Terriers ended the first quarter on a 2-0 run thanks to LaRochelle.
- Isabella Pelletier got on the board from a free position attempt to make it 4-5 three minutes into the second quarter.
- The Buccaneers went into halftime with a 7-4 lead, with the Terriers looking to battle back.
- In the third quarter both teams came out evenly matched, scoring two goals apiece.
- Mara Gentry scored both goals for the Terriers in the quarter after some impressive plays to make it 6-9 headed into the fourth.
- While Wallingford and Pelletier would both find the back of the net in the fourth quarter, the Buccaneers would continue to roll, handing the Terriers an 8-13 loss.
