Biddeford, ME - NECBA Club Baseball traveled to face the University of New England Club Baseball team on Wednesday, October 1st, taking a 4-0 shutout victory over the Nor'easters in a seven-inning contest.


How it Happened:

• Andrew Rapoza would earn the start for the Terriers and would deliver a dominant performance, recording 6 strikeouts while allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk through seven complete innings.
• Despite three scoreless innings to start the contest, the Terriers would strike first in the top of the fourth inning, scoring one run to make it a 1-0 game.
• The Terriers would extend their lead later on, scoring one run in the top of the sixth inning, and two runs in the top of the seventh inning to give the Terriers a 4-0 lead.
• UNE would have one final opportunity to respond in the bottom of the seventh inning, but Rapoza would deal the dagger to the Nor'easters to complete a 4-0 shutout victory.
• Quality at-bats from Robby Neese and Nick Griffel would help fuel the Terriers offense, going a combined 5-8 with 4 RBI's in the win over UNE.

 What's Next:

• The Terriers will look to extend their 2-game win streak on Saturday, October 4th, hosting the Tufts University Club Baseball team in a 7-inning double-header. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 12:00 PM, with game two following at 2:00 PM at H. Allen Ryan Field.
