Box Score Springfield, MA – Women's Soccer were unable to find the back of the net against a talented Springfield College Squad on Saturday, September 2
nd. The game ended 0-9, despite some outstanding saves from 
Emily Rock. 
Thomas College: Overall (1-1), NAC (0-0)  
Springfield College: Overall (1-0) 
How it Happened:  
	- Springfield got off to a quick start, scoring two goals in the first four minutes of the match. 
 
	- Springfield added another goal 17 minutes later, to make the score 3-0.
 
	- Three saves from Rock in the span of two minutes right before halftime made sure that the Terriers held Springfield to only three goals in the first 45 minutes.
 
	- In the 49th minute, Aminah Davis-Macias had her shot saved by Springfield goalkeeper Mallory Forgatch, the best opportunity for the Terriers to score.
 
	- However, Springfield came out of halftime fast, scoring two more goals in the first seven minutes of the second half. 
 
	- Springfield piled on another four goals in the remaining time, to make the final score 0-9.
 
The Goalkeepers:  
Terriers' keeper Rock made an impressive 18 saves in some important moments to prevent Springfield from taking a larger lead. 
Springfield keeper Clark made one save. Both keepers played the full 90 minutes. 
 
What's Next:
The Terriers will look to bounce back at their next away game against Maine Maritime Academy on September 6
th, 2023. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
