Women’s Soccer Battles for 2-2 Draw Against SUNY-Delhi

Box Score Delhi, New York – The Terriers played the first of two games in New York this weekend, battling to a 2-2 draw with conference foes SUNY-Delhi Saturday afternoon.
 
Records:

Thomas College: Overall (3-5-3), NAC (2-2-2)
SUNY-Delhi: Overall (2-5-4), NAC (1-2-2)
 
How it Happened:
  • Thomas struck in the first 15 minutes, with the goal coming from Aminah Davis-Macias. She received a pass from Mary LaRochelle giving the Terriers a 1-0 lead.
  • 22 minutes later, the Broncos responded with their first goal, and the half ended with a score of 1-1.
  • With 12 minutes left to play, Onyx Emelo found the back of the net, with the assist coming from Davis-Macias.
  • The Broncos were able to respond, scoring their final goal with six minutes left to play – to make the game 2-2
  • Davis-Macias led all players with six shots, two of which were on goal. She also led the team in points (3), with one goal and one assist.
Goalkeepers:
The Terriers Lauren Bartlett started in net for the Terriers, making an impressive 12 saves on 14 shots on goal.
Two goalies saw time for the Broncos. Julia Ruppert started the game, making one save in 11 minutes played. Andraya Hunt played the remaining 78 minutes, making three saves on five shots on goal.
 
What is Next:
Women's Soccer will travel to face SUNY-Cobleskill on Sunday, October 9th. Kickoff is at 2:30 pm.
