FARMINGTON, Maine – The Thomas College women's lacrosse team fell to UMaine-Farmington 8-4 on Sunday afternoon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game.
UMF got on the board fist with a goal in the sixth minute, but Thomas answered with goals by
Mackenzie Driscoll (North Andover, Mass.),
Sydney Pinkham (Poland, Maine), and
Autumn Howe (Merrimack, N.H.) putting the Terriers up 3-1. The Beavers bounced back, scoring four unanswered to close to give them a 5-3 advantage. Driscoll scored her second in the final minutes of the half to close the gap to 5-4 at the break.
The Beavers held Thomas scoreless in the second half, scoring three goals to take the 8-4 win.
Arianna Cannistraro (Waltham, Mass.) took the loss in net, allowing eight goals on 15 shots.
