WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College women's soccer team completed their season with a 2-0 victory over UMaine-Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon on Smith Field. The Terriers finish the season 2-0 and without giving up a goal in both of their contests against the Owls.
Taznae Fubler (Smiths, Bermuda) got Thomas on the board early with a goal in the seventh minute. Molly Walker (South Berwick, Maine) got the play started with a free kick from the Terriers defensive end that perfectly found Nikki Bradstreet (Topsham, Maine) who headed over to Fubler just outside the box. Fubler settled the ball while separating herself from defenders and buried a booming shot into the bottom-left corner of the goal for the 1-0 lead.
The Terriers picked up their second goal in the 57th minute when a corner kick made it's way out in front and rattled around, Fubler got her foot on it and slid the ball to Aubrey Schaeffer (Union, Maine) who finished for her first career goal that gave Thomas the 2-0 win.
Madison Rock (Bridgton, Maine) earned her second win of the season, making two saves. She started and played the first 45 before Lauren Bartlett (Wells, Maine) took over for the second half and also made two saves.
