BIDDEFORD, ME – The Thomas College Men's Cross Country team finished eighth out of 14 teams at the UNE Invitational in Biddeford, Maine on Saturday morning.
Freshman runner Jarrod Ottman (Merrimack, NH / Merrimack) led the way for the Terriers posting an impressive sixth place finished out of 154 runners. Ottman finished with a time of 28:06 in the 8k event. Gordon College's Damon Kilgore won the race with a time of 25:35.
The next two Terrier finishers were senior Nick Kopf (Hampden, ME/ Hampden Academy) who placed 26th (29:36) and freshman Billy Chambers (Waterville, ME / Waterville) who placed 47th (30:46). The rest of the Thomas runners to place in the team event were Sam Traynor (North Bllerica, Mass. / Tewksbury) 66th (32:03), Tito Naranja (Fort Kent, ME / Fort Kent) 79th (32:39), Richie Drown (Biddeford, ME / Biddeford) 86th (33:12), Evan Boudreau (Lamoine, ME / Ellsworth) 94th (33:43).
The Terrier runners will compete in their next event Saturday, September 17, as they travel to Vermont for the Johnson State Invitational.
