Terriers Finish 6th at Husson Invitational

BANGOR, ME - The Terriers men's cross country squad had a strong 6th place finish in their opening race of the 2015 campaign, the Husson Invitational hosted by Husson University.  Junior Nick Kopf led the way for the Terriers with a 29:25 time, good for 9th place.

First year Ethan Harriman followed suit finishing 12th, just 16 seconds behind Kopf with a 29:41.  Aron MacLean placed 18th crossing the finish line at the 30:21 mark. Finishing in 39th place with a 32:14 time was first year Trystan Mercier, Forrest Labbe came home 50th with a 33:30, 59th with a 34:41 for Richie Drown, Sam Cook was 67th with a time of 36:04, and Dylan Sullivan finished 71st with a 36:29. 

Scott Shaw of New England College finished first with a 27:51 helping secure the team victory for the Pilgrims, who had a combined 48 points. Finishing runner-up, 19 seconds off the leader was Robert Hollis of University of Maine at Farmington, who was followed by another Pilgrim runner, Sam Fisher, who rounded out the top three with a 28:13.

The men's cross country team will return to action next Sunday, September 13th, in Henniker, New Hampshire at New England College.
