Women's Soccer Falls Versus Husson

BANGOR, ME – The Thomas women's soccer team struggled to get the offense going in a 2-0 loss against Husson on Tuesday evening at Boucher Field.

The Eagles (7-4, 4-1 NAC) controlled the ball and outshot the Terriers (5-8, 2-3 NAC) 30-2. 

Taylor Fortin gave the Eagles the lead when she hit a free kick from 25 yards out into the upper left corner to beat the Paige Leary in the 11th minute of play for the early 1-0 lead.

Leah Hibbad gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead in the 20th minute when she took a feed from Kirsten Wood and buried it into the right corner of the net.

Leary kept Thomas in the game as she made 17 saves in net for Thomas, the fourth time on the season she has notched a double-digit save effort.

Thomas will be look to rebound this Friday night, October 10 when the host the University of Maine at Farmington. Game time is scheduled for 7pm.
