GORHAM, ME - The Thomas men's cross country team was back in action in their second five mile meet of the year at the Southern Maine Invitational. Nick Kopf led the Terriers in a fast course with a time of 28:42. The invitational is a preview for NCAA Regional Meet hosted by USM later in the season.
Evan Boudreau finished second for the Terriers with a time of 28:57. Behind Boudreau was Will Janakis, who finished in 29:57. Filling out the rest of the scoring for the Terriers was Dylan McNally with a time of 30:39, a second behind McNally was Aron Maclean with a 30:40.
The Terriers placed 18th with a score of 532. Today marked the biggest meet of the year so far for the team with 284 runners finishing the race.
Coby Horowitz of Bowdoin College finished the race first with a time of 25:11. In the team competition it was MIT who finished first with a score of 37.
The team will get a much needed weekend off, and will be back in action on October 5th competing at Colby in Waterville.
